Mixed bags of waste cannot be accepted.Card payments only. Residents may dispose of limited amounts of DIY waste for free, once per week. This includes waste that has originated from houses that are leased where it is the landlord or an appointed third party who is attempting to dispose of the waste. Trade or commercial waste is not permitted.

What will be accepted at the Recycling Centre

To visit a recycling centre you must make a booking. You can check when your next recycling and waste collection day is, search for what can and can’t be recycled, and to find your nearest recycling centre. You don’t need to tell us – just don’t choose a time slot. This means any Power Down sessions you do from Monday to Wednesday should count towards a Happy Hour that same weekend, but sessions from Thursday to Sunday won’t count til the weekend after. We’ll aim to update your online dashboard with results of each Power Down session within three days (but occasionally it takes longer). As much as possible, we want to make sure you can plan ahead – so we’ll do our best to keep it at roughly the same time each weekend. Very occasionally, if power is exceptionally expensive and Britain’s burning lots of extra fossil fuels, we might not be able to offer Happy Hours that weekend.

Do not worry if you arrive on time but are delayed in entering the site by vehicles in front, you will still be allowed to dispose of your waste. There is no cost to book an appointment to dispose of your unwanted household items at the site. We will send a confirmation of your booking to the email address you provide. Booking slots will be available up to 14 days in advance and up until 15 minutes prior to arrival.
